Gotu Kola Extract, otherwise known as Centella asiatica, is a small, herbaceous plant native to wetlands in Asia. Used as a beneficial herb in Ayurvedic, traditional African and Chinese medicines for its broad properties for over 2000 years, Gotu Kola used in StemFlo®, together with other ingredients, presents a unique value.

Indian Gooseberry Extract (Amla) from India is a cherry-size sour, bitter and astringent fruit widely known in Asia under various names such as amla and myrobalan (groseille nepalaise in French). It is considered one of the fruits with the highest concentration of vitamin C. In India, the amla tree is considered sacred and the fruit and leaves are extensively used in Ayurvedic medicine.

The enzymes used in StemFlo® come from the fermentation of a complex vegetable matrix with the microorganism Aspergillus oryzea. Various foods have been fermented in various parts of the world for over 6,000 years. Still today, it remains at the heart of many cultures with the making of cheese, beer, sauerkraut, kombucha, natto, bread, yogurt and many other delicacies. Aside from providing a wide variety of microorganisms, fermented foods also provide a wide variety of enzymes also known for their benefits.

Lemon is one of a small number of fruits that have penetrated virtually every culture, where it is considered an exceptional fruit. Lemons were originally developed as a cross between the lime and the citron and are thought to have originated in China or India, having been cultivated in these regions for about 2,500 years. They were introduced to Europe and Northern Africa by Arabs who brought them to Spain in the 11th century. The Crusaders, who found the fruit growing in Palestine, are credited with bringing the lemon to other countries across Europe. Like many other fruits and vegetables, lemons were brought to the Americas by Christopher Columbus in his second voyage to the New World in 1493, and have been grown in Florida since the 16th century. Later in the 20th century, the skin of the lemon fruit was shown to be the source of a large number of antioxidant, polyphenols and bioflavonoids such as hesperidin, as well as being known as a co-factor of vitamin C.

Pomace is the solid remains of grapes after pressing for juice. It contains the skin, pulp and seeds of the fruit. The Ancient Greeks and Romans were known to use the beneficial properties of pomace by creating a wine made by adding water to pomace and then fermenting it. Grape pomace is added to StemFlo® because of its content in a wide variety of unique compounds, such as polyphenols and anthocyanidins.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a rhizome that belongs to the ginger family that essentially grows in India, where it has been used traditionally for thousands of years. Turmeric has many applications in Ayurveda. Although turmeric contains a large number of bioactive compounds, it is mainly known for its content in Curcumin, which was shown to have a wide range of properties.

Cacao powder is the dried and fully fermented fatty seed of theobroma cacao. In the Mayan culture, cacao was considered a sacred food and was believed to give the body strength and to elevate the soul. Today, cacao is increasingly being recognized worldwide for its high content in polyphenols and other antioxidants. While being grown in many regions of the world, like West Africa, Stemtech carefully selected its cacao powder from Peru, which produces some of the best quality cacao in the world.

Blackcurrant is a woody shrub native to central and northern Europe, as well as northern Asia, with small glossy black fruits that develop in bunches along the stems. Blackcurrant berries are rich in vitamin C and unique polyphenols. Extracts from the berries are regarded as potent antioxidants.
